Title:Head Field Hockey Coach/Assistant Equipment Room Manager

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Athletics for Club Sports and Fitness, the Head Coach, Field Hockey/Assistant Equipment Room Manager is responsible for all aspects of the development and administration of a successful NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Women's Sport Program. The program will be conducted in accordance with all University and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules, regulations, and policies. In addition, the incumbent will assist the Equipment Room Manager in maintaining the operation of the Equipment Room for the receiving, inventory, distribution, and collection of all athletic equipment with the related repair/laundry responsibilities.

Coaching/Teaching Duties

*Teach and develop sport-specific skills in a successful, safe and prudent manner.
*Create, present, and maintain records of up-to-date lesson plans for pre-season/season practice drills and procedures detailing the desired goals to be achieved.
*Schedule practice and game preparation sessions; conduct post-game analysis and incorporate into lesson plans.

Administrative Duties

*Conduct an ongoing recruitment program through a variety of methods, both on and off the court with the goal to attract, select and encourage enrollment of high caliber student-athletes. Initiate new ideas and methods to improve the program in support of the University goal of a successful conference and attainment of a regional level NCAA ranking.
*Serve as liaison and assist with developing and operating programs and classes for students, faculty and staff and the local community.

Assistant Equipment Manager Duties

*Provide coverage of the equipment distribution room during the assigned hours of operation for the issue and collection of athletic equipment for athletics, intramural/recreation activities.
*Assist in the operation of a laundry service to insure clean equipment for both practice and competitive events.

Additional Functions

*Fund-raise, when required, for the sport program and coordinate and support Athletics' fundraising efforts.
*Uphold NCAA and other conference affiliation rules and regulations.
*Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy.
*Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or supervisor's designee.

This is a full-time 10 month position.
