The Athletic Department at Kent State University invites applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Coach, Field Hockey. This position is responsible for assisting with the NCAA Division I Field Hockey program at Kent State University.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:

A. Basic Function

Assist in the coaching and administration of a successful Division I intercollegiate Field Hockey program. Reports to Head Field Hockey Coach.

B. Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting in all aspects of field hockey program including:
Monitoring of student-athletic academic progress.
Scouting.
Practice and game coaching.
Travel coordination.
Recruitment of quality student-athletes.

Ensure compliance with NCAA, Mid-American Conference, University, and Intercollegiate Athletics rules and regulations.

Work compatibly and cooperatively with staff and personnel in Intercollegiate Athletics.

May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.

C. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two to three years experience coaching field hockey. Or a combination of education and coaching experience equivalent to a total of seven years as a minimum. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and strong interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of: National Collegiate Athletics Association and Mid-American Conference rules and regulations.

Skill In: Training or instructing student athletes; interpersonal communication
